Lights, Camera, Action
Over the past few years, I have had mixed success as a scriptwriter. However, I have remained undeterred and continue to hone my skills in this area. While I have seen some failures, I have also watched a couple projects come to fruition and be recognized during different events. For me, these are building blogs for greater projects in the future.
It Lives Somewhere in Jersey
It Lives Somewhere In Jersey was written and produced for the 2010 Blobfest and their Shorty Award competition. This may not be the best video, but it was also my first attempt at writing a script and making a short film. In the end, not only was this a great learning experience, but the film won the Fan Favorite Award and was shown at the Colonial Theater during the Blobfest Opening Ceremonies and Run-Out.
Not Always What It Seems
Not Always What It Seems was my first stage production, written for the 2017 Phoenix Arts Center's 10 Minute Playfest. While I did not direct the performance, the stage show was a tremendous success. After the two-night festival, the play was awarded the Watson Award for the top production at the event as awarded by a combination of outside judges and fan votes.
DaRkest Night
Darkest Heart - As a huge fan of the works of Edgar Allan Poe there are times when I draw on him for inspiration. That was the case with this piece that was done for the POEtry Contest for the Poe Arts Festival. Please check out the video that was made for this contest (just remember, I am a writer not an actor)! #ShowUsYouPoe.
The Fallout was my second stage production, written for the 2018 Phoenix Arts Center's 10 Minute Playfest.
