Born and raised in the shadows of Appalachia, Mark A. Mihalko is cunningly creative with a flair for the freakish. An experienced fiction and nonfiction writer, Mark is the author of four books, Searching the Abyss, Walking Before Dawn, Salvation, and After the Static, and has seen his works published in multiple online and print media outlets such as Mysteries, FATE, Horrotica, Haunted Times, Doorways, Texties.lol and Revenant Magazine. He was also lucky enough to be the focus of the Poet of the Hours for the Graveyard Press, the official webzine of the Vampire Nation.

Recently Mark became a produced scriptwriter, where his first play, Not Always What It Seems was selected as part of the First Annual Phoenix Arts Center 10 Minute Playfest. He was also the first recipient of the Watson Award, given to the writer of the winning play as chosen by an outside panel of judges and crowd polling at the festival.

Mark holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Creative Writing for Entertainment from Full Sail University and is busy shaping the next generation of avionics technicians as an instructor at the Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics. While he has a long way to go to achieve his goal of writing a multimedia/multi-platform horror themed universe, he is constantly searching for new projects and outlets to share his twisted interpretations of reality.
